The bird should be safe inside your cave. After all, you are always safe in your cave, and you spend a lot of time in your cave. It only makes sense that the baby bird will be just fine as well.

You go outside of your cave and look around for food. As you search, it begins to rain. It is not too heavy a rain, but it is enough to make the air colder, reminding you that time is quite limited when it comes to the health of the baby bird.

You keep searching until you come across a nice puddle of water and dirt. You notice some desperate worms emerging from the earth, trying not to drown.
