You hurry back to your cave with a bunch of worms in your mouth. They wiggle all around your teeth and tongue as you practically gallop back to your cave. You are pretty sure you accidentally swallow one.
You get to your cave to find the baby bird in a bad way. More specifically, it is being eaten by a snake. The reptile’s mouth is unhinged and stretched over the baby bird’s head. You cannot tell if the baby bird is still alive, but the snake is definitely at the beginning part of this long, vicious process. It will not be long before the baby bird is slowly sliding through the snake’s body to be digested and turned into snake energy.
