Your eyes open suddenly as the bright sun shines through your eyelids. You can feel your fur has dried and is now borderline toasty.
You feel the inside of your mouth.
No baby bird.
You panic.
You look around your cave until you hear a tiny chirp.
You hear it again.
There is baby bird, right outside of your cave.
It looks healthy and happy. You get close to the baby bird and sniff at it. It certainly smells like the same baby bird you carried through the forest in the middle of a storm. It looks merry as it chirps and hops and pecks the ground for worms.
You lay back down to rest some more, all the while your eyes are wide open, watching the baby bird and making sure it is safe.
