In what can only be described as a desperate denial of the truth, you begin to force living animals into a dead animal. It is difficult for you to accept that the baby bird has perished. It is even more difficult for you to accept that the baby bird has perished by your own actions, whether accidental or not.
This is not a great way to deal with the death of a tiny bird, however. It is actually the worst way possible to deal with the death of a tiny bird.
You keep shoving the tiny worms into the tiny bird’s tiny mouth, hoping something might work out from doing so. Nothing works out. Because you are shoving living creatures into a single dead creature, thus effectively spreading your killing spree to innocent worms.
