The seconds and minutes and hours begin to fade away as you continue to sit on this tree. You have found a relatively comfortable spot to rest on while you are up here. It still aches your back and your skin, however. The insects are still unpleasant, but this is your tree. This tree is now yours. You live here. This is a bear-tree and you are a tree-bear. Life as a tree-bear is not nearly as good as life as a cave-bear, but it will do. Or so you hope. It is beginning to be dark.
