You explain to the deer that there is more to living than just thinking about not living. There are trees and rocks and caves and the sky and butterflies and the dirt and the river and the everything. All of these things can be observed and engaged and interacted with and enjoyed and sometimes even eaten or at least licked. Life is wonderful, despite how depressing and bleak the end of it can be.
The deer shakes its head and laughs. It points a hoof at you and mutters the word fool at you.
