You chose to fight the fox back

You swat and growl at the fox. It keeps hissing and swatting back. You two start to get very violent. A scuffle begins as you fight one another. It claws at your back and chews on your ears. You hurl it at trees and stomp on its tail. You fight and fight until you are both panting and tired. The fox is resting against a tree. You go in for one more lunge. You miss. You hit the tree. A branch that must have been loose comes down. It pierces your eye and crushes the fox. You thrash and stumble and trip on yourself. You fall over. Everything gets blurry and painful. You drift off into nothingness.
