To avoid the rain and angry birds, you go back to your cave. It is not much warmer than outside, but it does serve as some protection from the harsh elements that threaten the tiny bird’s life. The baby bird is still hungry, though. And you are in a cave, which is probably very boring for a baby bird. Its current state is only slightly better than when you first found it, helpless and cold and hungry. It is not so helpless now, that is, which is good.
The rain starts to come down heavier than before. You can hear the huge drops of water rapidly splashing against the forest floor. You are probably going to be stuck in this cave for quite some time.
