You open your eyes and the sudden brightness of the forest throws you off. You feel confused and lost and upset. You feel disoriented. You are unsure where you are. Is it the same place you were before you closed your eyes? Is this some new place in the forest? Are you lost? There is no way to know, so now you feel unsafe. As unsafe as you have ever felt.
You wish you had kept your eyes closed. It might have been easier that way.
You are a bear.
An unsafe bear.
